This guy is crazy smart...

Woody Norris just received the 1/2 million $ MIT Award for his work on HyperSonic Sound and the AirScooter, which I saw on 60 Minutes last night. I don't miss my Minutes, call me Oldie or whatever, but this guy thinks he can mass produce this little magic-carpet airplane for $50,000. He also said that if you keep it under 400 feet, you don't even need a pilot's license...crazy. The uses for HyperSonic sound are virtually limitless and would probably reduce the number of noise complaints I receive from my neighbors each month. More here
