Sigur Ros

Maybe I'm a little late to the game here but I just bought the new release from Iceland's very own Sigur Ros. Takk... reminds me of a 'Enya/Thomas Newman "American Beauty" soundtrack/Robert Fripp soundscape' hybrid. Definitely interesting and uplifting music.

Critics have been quick to label their tunes 'pretentious' and 'soundtracky'. Maybe so, but at least its something truly different.

They'll be coming to the Bass Hall in Fort Worth Monday, Feb. 27
