The Moon Tonight

Man, I'm so tired here at work now...why do so many people become such a whip on Friday afternoons?

After Mr. Naptime at home I'm headin' over to The Moon on Berry St. in Funkytown to check out a most excellent jazz-jam band, Confusatron. Check 'em out if you can.

Rockstar Supernova...why the show sux and why I watch it

So, last night, I'm watching Rockstar Supernova and my girl Patrice Pike gets the boot off the show. Dammit, I still remember seeing her in the group Little Sister in College Station a few years back and it kills me to see her go. Wait, no, it doesn't KILL me, its just the only person on the show I've seen in person and she really is a very good singer.

Anywho, what really sucks about this show (and again, I'm a loser for watching it) is that Supernova's original songs that a couple contestants have sung along to...suck! Predictable lyrics and forgettable melodies. I say no-talent ass-clowns!

Morality, Economics and the World

As many of you know, I majored in economics in college...

I found an interesting quote on the Freakonomics blog, I highly suggest you check it out.

“Morality describes the way that any of us would like the world to work. Economics describes the way the world actually does work. You can’t change the world you live in until you understand it.”

Lift Show Saturday

My buddy is playing his first show with the band Lift...this Saturday at The Aardvark on Berry St. in Fort Worth at 9 P.M. (cover is $6). Great thing about this is that you can hear some good tunes early and then rush home/go out and watch the Cowboy's first pre-season game vs. Seattle.

Music and football + football and music = good times

(currently listening to: Brian Culbertson - It's On Tonight)

Wedding

Yeah, my boy's gettin' married tomorrow. Tonight and tomorrow are going to be pretty hard on my liver...but then again...what day isn't? Tonight I'll be sippin' margaritas at Los Vaqueros, tomorrow at the City Club. Not too shabby. Congrats Clay and Kelly!
