Bon Voyage

Crazy as it may seem, I am on a flight tomorrow to New Orleans. I volunteered for a company job mainly to anticipate what electronics needs people may need if (God forbid) another hurricane hits somewhere around the nation. It’s a process of estimation, not anticipation that I took it, and I look forward to the experience.

I have a buddy (Kitos namely) that is down near there helping out with specific FEMA efforts and it kind of inspired me. Just to top it off, I always wanted to attend a jazz festival so this decision lets me enjoy the greatest the world has to offer.

I look forward to the potential of helping people down the line and I’ll keep the blog updated so you can see what I’m up to.

Big Dick Hunter Greatness...re: MySpace

Found this over at Big Dick's Blog, I've never got the whole MySpace thing, but then again, most don't get the blog thing either...

My Space, we have a problem.

Alright, I'm going to go public with this. For the last six months or so, I have had a My Space page. For the last few months of last year I did nothing with it, mainly securing it as a preemptive measure to keep some gay troller from locking up the name "Big Dick Hunter". Mission accomplished, or so I thought.

There are so many damn people on that thing that once you log on, the chances of plugging the guy's name that sat next to you in honors English and coming up with a hit are better than not. Even though I didn't publicize it, a few people searched me out, and next thing you know I had "friend" requests. I threw a few pictures and a blog entry on it, but the page was taking a clear low rung on my on line priority ladder behind BigDickHunter.net and this offshoot blog. As I watched my nomadic brother in law and podcast star Brent spend hours building his page in an effort to get laid, I realized the value in building the page for exposure ... Albeit a different variety than his.

The more that I answered questions for page profiles and searched for random photos to upload, the more I noticed that almost without exception, every friend request that I was getting was a dude. That, coupled with the eponimous url, was making the whole thing look kinda gay. I decided to embrace the gimmick, and that is when I claimed that I was blogging while listening to Clay Aiken's "Measure Of A Man". A few month's removed from that crossroads, the friends gallery is filling up and it's a whole lot of penis.

So my thought is this ... Do I keep it a boys' club, denying the few female requests that I do get and risking a boycott from my friend Martha Burke? Or ... Do we go coed and stop with the whole "double life" image that I have been perpetrating throughout my radio exile? You can see the ways that the down time has started to effect my thoughts.

Yahtzee!

The first thing that comes to mind when I hear Connie Rice's name is that Chappelle skit...Cunnilingus Rice!

This guy meant to say coup...okayyyyyy

The T.O. Deal Will Work

...if he can stay healthy. I'm not worried about his feuds with Steve Mariucci or Andy Reid, they didn't have the gaul to stand up and bench him if his behavior went bad, Bill Parcells does. This is his team and he'll relay that to Owens as soon as they meet.

Can I foresee a Owens-Bledsoe feud sometime this season? Sure, but I believe it will come down to Bledsoe under-performing...if anyone.

This deal rocks ala Deion. I'm probably one of the few that has never really had a problem with T.O. Sure, he's brash in his tactics, but he's one hell of a football player. The NFL is about talent, not good guys. Ask Irvin and Larry Allen.

Peter King from CNNSI agrees...

I'm glad I'm not a sports anchor...

Some people don't seem to grasp the concept of etiquette around people, especially at work. Whether it be the low cut shirt of the female, keeping your cellphone on vibrate or dropping the F-bomb.

ESPN, apparently, isn't any better: Oops

I Hope Buddy Never Comes Around My Apartment...

Here's for you that thought the kid on 'The 6th Sense' was pretty messed up.

Please don't bust me, I'm just lonely...

I've Got Spirit, How About You?

I couldn't stop myself from laughing after seeing the highlights of this cheerleader during the local news last night.

Commitment.

(I didn't watch that bag of an Oscars last night. I did see some interviews afterwards though...what a timewaste i.e. Inside Edition, Entertainment Tonight, etc...)

Update: Sigur Ros at Bass Hall

I ran across another guy's blog and found some cool clips featuring the last 40 seconds of the show Monday along with, which I think is cool and crazy, a couple band members hanging outside the Bass Hall after the show near their tour bus jamming with a banjo. Check it out Here and scroll down for the links.
